Celine Fall Winter 2007 Collection

“Like many people who are sensual, violent and libertine, Béatrice felt that she was exonerated by the fact she announced
or wrote her decisions, no matter how cruel they might be” writes Françoise Sagan in her novel The Unmade Bed. Her
heroine? Béatrice. A woman who likes men who like women and does not conceive living without a good dose of fantasy.
Béatrice clamors for passion, spirit, freedom, imagination, knowing how to lie, and why not lie to her. Seductive and with
a lot of humor, such is the heroine of the 2007– 2008 Celine Fall –Winter by Ivana Omazic.
Bourgeoise and wild, funny and whimsical, this woman fully assumes her contradictions, she knows she is an exhibitionist,
yet she wants to remain mysterious, this is a spontaneous woman for whom “very often instinct replaces reflection.” Just
as spectacular in a Siberian tiger printed pony skirt as in a pair of pants with large cuffs.
In her wardrobe, a T-dress with a streamlined allure, to which the supple sleeves, rounded convey a feminine and sensual
suppleness. The anatomical cuts of the shirts and coats follow the body contours especially the sleeves. The bust is narrow
but privileges free, oblong, droplet sleeves.
The trench coat, leitmotiv for Ivana Omazic, is worn doubled up, with a frame reduced to the maximum, over a coat dress.
The vest in nylon faille slips under the tweed coat. The blousons overlap several types of fur by playing on different textures
of fox and suede or pony and mink.
To make her entrance at the Brasserie Lipp, Béatrice unsheathes the very luxurious asset of a crocodile coat in shaded
patent leather, running the gamut from sand to coffee, or then choosing to be the center of attention by wagering on the
Mikado silk satin in green, carmine red or saffron yellow one of the three vibrant acid colors, that brighten up the Fall– Winter
palette.
For the evening, the cocktail spirit sets forth a less formal allure. Ultra contemporary, the flower print imagined by Japanese
artist Mika Ninagawa brightens up the collection. Very Celine, this suit technique with pagoda shoulders, goes out in the
evening unless a simple T-shirt entirely embroidered with sequins is enough to light up a straight skirt.

Accessories
The new Lirine bag, with a zip or a clasp, takes on the shape of an over-sized hand-held business bag, in smoked patent
leather crocodile, ranging from violet to bronze as well as cognac and chocolate. It also exists in pony and chocolate leather
and comes out in calfskin with a Siberian tiger print. It goes out at night in a smaller version, embroidered with sequins.
The riding boots are a Celine rendez-vous but this time in ostrich legs. The boots with heels, satin ankle straps and
colored suede sole, convey a sexy heel height while the new pump, made of three fabrics, is dressed with leggings.
