SISLEY LIMITED EDITION FALL/WINTER 2007/2008 Collection

The extremely stylish and chic characteristics of the Sisley Limited Edition collection are perfectly reflected in its very elegant symbol, a black feather.

The collection takes its inspiration from different worlds: the future, science fiction and space as imagined or seen in the movies are blended with memories of historical costume, from the Middle Ages to today.

Thus metallic fabrics and studs, high-tech materials and precious silks, jewel buttons and leather thongs, zips and buckles, trench belts and obi belts, sweetheart necklines and cut-out necklines, floaty chiffon and pressed-cloth, coated jersey and handmade tricot work all together in perfect harmony.

A sophisticated world which comes to life after dusk and is dyed in night shades, cut with metallic flashes: deep and matte black, cosmos blue, mercury, asphalt and stone grey, the gloss of lamé, of lurex and of coated leather. Denim, an all-time must-have, finds fresh success in impeccable tones of black, of dark and iridescent blue and white.

Flawless details and richness of materials in the apparent simplicity of true and sophisticated elegance, just like the feather that adorns the Sisley Limited Edition label.

SISLEY FALL/WINTER 2007/2008 MEN’S COLLECTIONS

Wall Street. The look is formal and alluring, whilst not exactly wearing a jacket as tradition dictates. Businessmen travel in three-quarter coats, double-breasted or with three buttons, in light colour or plaid wool. The office version demands a polo neck and a fisherman-rib sweater, with waterproof blouson jackets, some of which are padded. The slim, straight trousers range from grisaille and pinstriped to dark denim.
Top Gun. Cutting a dash with zero sense of danger. Jeans faded by use worn with blouson aviator style jackets in either khaki with fur around the hood, or lemon yellow with a plaid lining or with ribbed knit sleeves. Striped sweaters, with jacquard decorations on the sleeves and large cable on the front, complete a perfect pilot style.
Gosford Park. The respectable country gentleman wears a herringbone wool coat with a small fur collar or a trench. Marl sweaters with shawl collar and the classic tweed blazer. The look is completed with gloves, soft caps and hunting trousers. The colours are from the countryside; meadow green, wood, moss and periwinkle blue.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s. A social, nocturnal theme with a look for partying and celebrating until dawn. Head to foot in black; a slim suit that looks like a tuxedo, pinstripe trousers worn with a black cardigan, shirt and shiny tie. A black overcoat, a camouflage print waistcoat in smoky shades, and a black quilted down-filled nylon jacket.
